I took a digital fabrication class back in grad school, and one of the assignments was to design a three-dimensional object that could be cut out of a two-dimensional sheet via a laser cutter. I was on a serious art deco kick back then, so I designed a twenty-sided dice (also known as a D20) with an art deco theme.

It turns out that figuring out how to make the triangles interlock correctly was the easy part, as gluing all twenty of them together proved to be a pretty big pain in the neck.
